The Greeley City Manager is in charge of managing the departments within Greeley City Government that are tasked with overseeing administrative duties (Assistant City Manger I and II) and the departments which handle public services (Greeley Police Department, Greeley Fire Department, Public Works, and Water & Sewer). The Greeley City Manager is responsible for hiring and firing all of the heads of each department. Greeley City Manager is an appointed position. Greeley City Council is responsible for hiring and firing the City Manager.
