Representative: Any politician who represents a specific area.
For example, the U.S. President represents every resident in the United States, Colorado’s two U.S. Senators represent residents in Colorado, Weld County officials represent Weld County residents, and political officials represent all of Greeley, while four officials represent specific areas of Greeley.

At-Large: Political officials who represent every part of a city or county as opposed to a single section (a ward or district).
City Councilmembers, County Commissioners, and County Councilmembers who are not At-Large officials only represent an individual City Ward or County Commissioner District.

Incumbent: A politician who is currently in a position in office and is running for re-election to remain in that position.
For example, in the 2020 U.S. Presidential election, Donald Trump will be the incumbent candidate.

Nonpartisan: Politics which does not align with any specific political party’s ideals.
Greeley’s elections are an example of nonpartisan politics because none of Greeley’s political officials run as a member of any political party.

Affiliation: To align with and be supported by a specific political party (Republican, Democrat, American Constitution, Libertarian, Green).
